As the number of readers of Liberal Democrat Newswire continues to grow, so too do its costs. Would you join with other kind readers and make a small donation to help cover the costs of what Vince Cable calls “excellent”?

Any personal data you submit will be used in accordance with my privacy policy as well as that of any payment platform you choose to use.

PayPal (preferred option)

This form will take you through creating a PayPal account if you don’t currently have one.

You can also make a one-off donation via PayPal here.

You can sign up to make a small monthly donation via Patreon.

This is a really convenient, low admin service for supporting writing (or other creative work). As it’s based in the US, donations are in US dollars but the administration charges Patreon take are usually lower than those for PayPal.

Cheque or bank transfer

If online payments aren’t your thing, just drop me an email and I can let you have details of how to send a cheque or make a bank transfer.

Legal requirements

Donations made to Liberal Democrat Newswire are counted as donations to a regulated donee (Mark Pack, a member of a registered political party) under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. If you make a donation of more than £500 then, aside from much gratitude, I may have to ask for further information, such as whether you are on the UK electoral register, before formally accepting the donation. Any donation of more than £1,500 has to be declared to the Electoral Commission.
